mp3 audio / video problem

Hi All. I just installed YDL 4.0 on my TiBook and I must say so far I love it!
The only problem is I do not have any mp3 support or video support for that
matter. When I installed I chose to install everything, so as far as I know
every package available on the YDL CD's are no on my HD.

The first time I tried to play an mp3 the program (music player and kaboodle)
refeused to play the file. Music player said it didn't have the plugin to play
mp3's! Is mp3 support not in YDL?

How can I remedy this problem?, dumb it down for me if you can. I don't know all
the rpm, make, yum stuff yet.
