mp3 audio / video problem

It doesn't work because the developers for Yellow Dog decided not to have any sound support in version 4.0. You cannot play CDs, DVDs, MP3s, AVIs, or any other sound-producing thing or file on any computer using Yellow Dog. Nor can you have any system sounds. It is strictly a "visual" operating system.

Now, as for why they did this, you may need to ask them. Apparently, though, they just don't like any noise.
