NFS problem using Yellow Dog Linux on Apple G5 Xserves

I have set up Apple G5 Xserves to run as a high availability nfs server.

If I mount one of the exported filesystems on the other Xserve then the
nfs server stops. There are other clients on the network running IRIX,
HP-UX, SUSE Linux
and Solaris and they work fine.

Has anyone else experienced this problem?
