getting rid of some files?

I use the command 'rm -r -f' to get rid of unwanted files and
directories but there are some that refuse to be trashed. I have a file
that lists like this 'KDE 3.4' and it refuses to be trashed, any clues
as to why, I thought the command that I am using should get rid of
anything?
