Problems Booting YDL From a Firewire Drive

Is it a USB keyboard? Okay this may sound stupid and may not work but i 
have had a problem like that before and unplugging it and plugging back 
in actually worked...or try another USB port
Sometimes USB mice and keyboards act starnge like that
