Installing and running OS's over USB

Hmm. Everything I've been reading of late suggests that USB *does not*
have the ability to boot on Mac (if this is true then it's likely due
to USB drivers necessary being loaded from the OS).

Well, I think I'll try OS 9 on my iPod Shuffle and see. You've now
stimulated my curiosity.
