G5 fan revving problems with YDL 4.0.1?

Apparently you decided to reinstall.  Perhaps if you referred to the 
manual in the section describing setting up the partitioning and mount 
points on the drives, the details could be less confusing.  Here's the

For clarity, I am not suggesting that a reinstall will change the 
revving issue.  Unfortunately, I don't have a G5 myself and my previous 
guesses were limited as they were based upon a G4 anyway.  Hopefully, 
other G5 users will come forward and assist your queries.
