WMV9 codec for xine?

Well, I did a bit of research on the web and found out that apparently there
was recently a proof-of-concept hack to xine/MPlayer/VLC to add compatibility
with the new WMV codecs. They apparently did this by using the info given by
Microsoft to various international standards groups, thereby
reverse-engineering the WMV codec. Anyway, that's about as far as it appears
to have gone at this point. Too bad, because I can get most all of the WMV
stuff to play on OS X by using a combination of WiMP, VLC, and QuickTime
(with the Flip4Mac plugin). Having said that, VLC is the app that has the
most trouble with the newer WMVs.
