linux is too expensive

I read both lists everyday.  But stopped responding when a majority
of  people would post questions like this, "I have an Apple IIe and
it doesn't have a CD-rom, I would like to do an HTTP-install but I
don't want to use a text install, I have to use Anaconda.  Any help
would be appreciated.  Oh yeah, will it fit on my 384mb hard drive or
should I upgrade?"

I help a lot of people off-lists.  In the past I've received a
plethora of the above type questions and had my mailbox full.
