good point like i mentioned. I am currently repairing 2 macs.
The one that i keep will have ydl and the one i am giving away or selling to  a friend will be either os 10 10.2.8 or os9 whichever i get my hands on first.
Good thing is these pmacs were loaded with ramm. The one with ydl 353 mb ramm. and i think the clone where i will put os10 has at least 300 mb of ramm.
the one i keep doesn't necessarily need flash because i usually use my pc for internet access. The ydl machine i will probably just use for labs with my redhat pc to ssh to cause i'm studying for rhce.

I won't GUARANTEE you this (in case you sue me ;-), but here's what I found:

You should be able to get OS 9 for next to nothing (S/H) from LEM
swap. Go to http://www.lowendmac.com and join the swap list at
http://www.lowendmac.com/lists/swap.html. Post your request for an OS
9 CD.

Alternately, check out http://www.craigslist.org for your area and
post a request for Mac OS 9.

For browsers for Mac OS 9, I suggest you check out:
http://www.icab.de

iCab is the only browser that's in active development. It can handle
some web sites that the others cannot but it can't handle secure
sites.

You'd also want to have Internet Explorer 5.1 and Netscape Navigator
4.7.x. Opera 6.0.2 is also not a bad one to have around. You can
experiment with these browsers and see which one is your favourite.

Once you have created a fully-functioning Mac OS 9 machine, I would
advise you to burn the whole HD to CD. This will make restoring the
computer easy! To restore the computer, all you'll need to do is boot
the computer. Move everything to the trash and then copy the whole
CD's content's to the HD. Restart and empty trash. The whole system
has been replaced (yes, OS 9 was extremely simple to replace).

CAVEAT: Mac OS 9 is not exactly the most stable beast in the world,
especially if you're accessing internet over dial-up.

PS Other stuff you'd want to do to OS 9...
- Update OS 9 to 9.2.2. Do that before you set things up. Ask me if
you've got questions about that when the time comes.
- Update QuickTime to the last version for OS 9.
- Install the last version of iTunes for OS 9 (if available).
- Install the latest version of GraphicConverter

- Install the last version of Stuffit Expander for OS 9
(http://www.versiontracker.com/dyn/moreinfo/macos/21044)
- Install BBEdit Lite

- Install Eudora or Outlook Express for OS 9 for e-mail
