I've found I can play almost every format minus flash, using
Mplayer and VLC. ( I may be wrong, but i'm fairly certain VLC comes
preloaded with various codecs.
""B) I have my PS3 on the wireless LAN, will I be able to replay files stored

Yes you can stream files from other devices. This is fairly simple to setup.

I generally use VLC for streaming Media from one of my other boxes.

"""Is it possible to allocate more than 2 partitions on the PS3 HD? For

   I don't believe so.

"""D) Is it possible to have any sized partition allocated for the PS3 OS and

When setting up your partitions, the PS3 will give you 2 options
(at least on a 60 gig) 10 GB for PS3/40GB for OS, or 40 GB PS3/ 10 GB
OS.

The only disadvantage for keeping the PS3 partition small, is you
don't have much room for storing Demos/Game data. Several games have
installation data that can be over 2 GB. And Demos can take up a bit
of space as well.

"""E) Will a YD OS on PS3 make the YD OS portion of the PS3 visual on the LAN

Yes, but only when YDL is up and running of course.

You will need to setup File Sharing between your Windows network
and the Linux box of course

"""F) Anny advice for Bluetooth KB with trackball that works fine with PS3? (I

Theres no right or wrong heh. Whatever is more comfortable for your
personal use.

I dont have any advise on a BT trackball, but you may want to
search popular sites such as , Tigerdirect.com Newegg.com ect.

""G) Where do I purchase YD with installation support and installation

 http://www.terrasoftsolutions.com/store/index.php?submit=software&submitimg[software][ydl]=1

I would assume. You may want to double check with someone else to verify.
