Dear Ed,

If the notebook has intel chipset, you should be able to run it. As for
problems, expect them in the drivers that are for Graphics etc. However
there are many Forums to post and ask questions and get results.

I don't think you should buy it before qualifying this issue with the
salesman. As to Linux, I can be of some help, as I run SuSe with Novell. But
I have Ubuntu, and many others for study comparisons. The biggest hangups
are the device drivers for special graphics etc.
