Thank you Tyler and Hollis for your rapid response.
Hollis:
The mini apps controlling sound levels all have indicators which show
that the levels are at their highest markers.
Tyler:
On the Mac side opening the control strip reveals that the Mac is
already at those settings you've indicated. This does give me an
idea to check Apple's sound & monitor application to see what it is
doing. I'll keep plugging away.
