Subject: Newbie question: make command not found

Hi, I've been trying to install a newer version of perl on my YL1.2
setup by compiling the source but keep running into a bash error
where it can't find the make command. I've looked for it throughout
my system and it doesn't seem to exist. So my question is, how do I
install make? Where do I get it from? Any help greatly appreciated.
