My guess is this:

A. The LSB is not finished yet so there is nothing to support.
B. If when the LSB is finished, it turns out to be a clusterfsck, they
will ignore it.
C. Since they are mostly Rhat based they won't have much choice either
way.
D. We need a PPC Reference Distribution White Paper above and beyond
what the LSB provides to ensure cross distro compatibility in the PPC
space for PPC specific issues. Bootloader methodology, etc, can be defined
in this white paper. I already have nods from most of the kernel
maintainers on this effort but I am waiting til' everyone gets over their
summer vacations before embarking on this.
