I'll try that thanks.

Another thing though...Im currently at a 800*600 resolution. I am unable to
get higher than 8 bit color though, even though my card, the ATI rage 3D has
6 megs of VRAM...everytime I try to go into higher depth, the screen gets
messed up. The command Im using is startx -- -bpp 16 and 24.

Any ideas?

Thanks

Tony
