update this package to:
esound-0.2.18-0_helix_1
It will stop your Gnome sound events from playing while MOL is running,
but it won't bottleneck them so that you get an event-fest when you
shutdown MOL. :)
One other side-effect of upgrading, though, seems to be a mysterious
speedup of MP3 playback.
