You can mount a HFS partition read/write in Linux after having started
MOL, with disastrous results. Don't try it. Even using hfsutils (hcopy
or hdel) on a partition mounted in MOL can destroy the partition. Of
course, you may be lucky for a while, but I am speaking from painful
experience.
It is better not to mount the partition under MOL and to use appletalk
or ftp to access it from the Mac side. Or you start MOL only after
having done any writing from the Linux side and mount the partition
readonly in Linux.
