Soon after Samuel announced that mol-0.9.52 is available for download, I
went ahead and upgraded the older version (0.9.50) that was working
well. However, after spending couple of hours trying to get it run on my
Powerbook G3, all I get is MacOS startup sound and blank screen.
Nothing seems to happen even after 10min of waiting. CPU activity is
quite heavy and persists until mol is killed. I finally gave up and
hoping that someone would provide a hint as to what I might be doing
wrong.

btw, I have a 2.2.14 kernel that I compiled myself with mol support
(mol-kernel-2.2.15pre4.patch). My MacOS version is 8.6.

The details of what I did follows -

- after upgrading from the older rpm (0.9.50-1.ppc.rpm), made some
changes to molrc file,
        ram_size --> 96

        blkdev: /dev/hda7 -rw
        blkdev: /dev/hda8 -rw
        (all others commented out)

video: tried both possible settings -
            first, old one- 800/600/116.318Mhz
            then, full screen mode- 1024/768/116/318Mhz
            finally, the default one- 640/480/75Mhz
            depth 32 (or 24)

        start_on_console: no
        autoswitch_console: yes
        enable_console_video: yes
        enable_xvideo: yes

        keyboard _id: 195

- The startup message that I get, is following,
