Hi,
     I figured as much. I'll consider trying out the 2.4 kernels. Like
I said, this is a 99% solution. The FireWire drive is used strictly
for video editting and it's not a huge burden to reboot into native
MacOS to do that.

     As far as the CDs go, at this point the CD shows up as a hard
drive, not with the CD icon. Apple System Prodoes not report the
drive as a CD either. Once again, it's not a show stopper, just a
minor nit.
