Hello David,

I solved this problem using the Location Manager. The AppleTalk and TCP/IP
control panels somehow recognize a difference between the hardware drivers
and the "virtual" drivers that MOL provides. Someone, a while back,
suggested this to the list. My apologies for not remembering the original
author.

I set up two configuration in each of the AppleTalk and TCP/IP control
panels, and then two locations in Location Manager. I have Location Manager
set to prompt during boot, and select the appropriate location there based
on whether I'm booting through MOL or not. One other advantage to LM is that
it permits two sets of extensions, so that I can disable incompatible or
slooow extensions (e.g., macsbug, Kaleidoscope) under the MOL location.

HTH,
David
