Problems on the install...

I'm fairly new to Linux, and am trying to install MOL on my PowerBook
G3 running Debian 2.2.

I've managed to download the rpm into /usr and read the couple of
pages of docs provided on the web site. I checked out the man page
for rpm, and I finally issued the command as given in the doc. And
here's what happened:

yeti:~# rpm -i /usr/mol-0.9.53-2.ppc.rpm
error: failed dependencies:
        /bin/sh is needed by mol-0.9.53-1
        ld.so.1 is needed by mol-0.9.53-1
        libX11.so.6 is needed by mol-0.9.53-1
        libXext.so.6 is needed by mol-0.9.53-1
        libc.so.6 is needed by mol-0.9.53-1
        libm.so.6 is needed by mol-0.9.53-1
        libncurses.so.4 is needed by mol-0.9.53-1
        libpthread.so.0 is needed by mol-0.9.53-1
        /bin/bash is needed by mol-0.9.53-1
        /bin/sh is needed by mol-0.9.53-1
        /usr/bin/perl is needed by mol-0.9.53-1
        libc.so.6(GLIBC_2.1) is needed by mol-0.9.53-1
        libc.so.6(GLIBC_2.0) is needed by mol-0.9.53-1
        libm.so.6(GLIBC_2.0) is needed by mol-0.9.53-1
        libpthread.so.0(GLIBC_2.1) is needed by mol-0.9.53-1
        libpthread.so.0(GLIBC_2.0) is needed by mol-0.9.53-1

I've used the whereis command to see if this stuff even exists on my
system. Most of it does, but whatever is happening in the rpm
command doesn't recognize anything in my /bin or /usr/bin directories.

I figure that I'm doing something pretty stupid, and I'm not afraid
of a little work to rectify that condition. Can anyone point me in
the right direction? I'd love to be able to make this work.

Thanks,

Chris

The plan was simple. Unfortunately, so was Bullwinkle.
