Subject: blank grey screen/Japanese ROM/help!

Hello,
I have just installed SUSE 7.0 and am trying to get MOL to work. I have
followed the instructions (dated 01/15/01) on the SUSE support page and
am running the 2.2.18 kernel with the latest version of MOL. However,
when I startmol, everything goes OK until I have a blank grey screen and
no chime. Then, both the screen and the shell hang. I have borrowed
another molrc from someone who has mol running and it did the same.
I run the Japanese OS 9.04 and stripped the ROM from that. Could this
be the problem? If you have any idea, please let me know. I am on the
