Derrik,

Thank you for helping me out again with getting MOL to see my Linux file
system.

I was able to get netatalk running based on some help you gave me in an
earlier message, and I can see and mount my Linux disks from MOL using the
chooser. However, I need a little more help here in understanding how to
set up this "private-net address" you refer to for Linux to serve its
viles to MOL over via AFP.

In Linux I have defined the net interfaces:

    lo
    eth0 (to my lan)
    ppp0-2 (over a modem)

The Linux atalk daemons (inc. afpd) seem to be using eth0 as the interface
in which to serve files to MOL. I have MOL set up to have an IP address
that is on the same network as the Linux eth0 interface.

How should I change this setup (on both the Linux and MOL sides) so that
MOL can see the Linux filesystem when the PowerBook is not on the LAN?
Is there a way to configure things so that MOL can see both the Linux
file system AND the Internet when the powerbook is on the LAN?

Thanks,

Tom
