Legality of MOL on non-Apple HW

I only have one question for this list.

Is it legal to run MacOS on non-Apple licensed hardware?

This has not been an issue in the past since other than a handful of BeBoxen all PowerPC-based PCs have been licensed to run MacOS by Apple. However various non-Apple PowerPC PCs will soon be in the market and it ought to be clear whether it will be legal to run MacOS (via MOL) on them. This is only fair to everybody involved (including Apple since the price of their hardware has always subsidized their OS development).

PS: I an NOT interested in opening a discussion on the merits of the hardware involved or what would be in who's interest etc.
