Long pause during MacOS 9.1 bootup

That was due to (apparently) some changes in the way OS 9.2.x determines
what volume it's supposed to be booting from. Samuel has since fixed
that particular issue. Is there any output on the terminal you started
it from? Or if it's started from your WM, anything in
~/.xsession_errors?
