The block device driver doesn't yet support removable media, like CDs.
You have to start MoL with the disc in, and can't remove it till you
exit. However, the DVD player isn't going to work. It can't directly
access the MPEG-2 playback acceleration features of the video
controller, and probably can't do the authentication stuff with the DVD
drive via the current block device driver.

No. Use Xine and a DVD playback plugin (xine-dvdnav would be a good
bet). On an Altivec-enabled processor, you should get totally decent DVD
playback in Linux. You could try vlc or mplayer instead (but I like
Xine), but they should all work about equally well.
