Help! my OSX doesnt boot cold or from MOL

You are not supposed to close the window. You should always select
"shutdown". Closing the window is the equivalent to pressing
the reset button. Usually, pressing reset works but there is always
a slight risk that the filesystem is somewhat damaged.

Hmm.. your problem might be that your filesystem is damaged
(boot from the 10.1 install disk, select the disk tools menu
entry and repair the disk).

Another possibility (which is much more likely if it was the
first time you booted Mandrake) is that the MacOS X boot path
(or other firmware settings) are messed up due to the installation
of the linux boot loader.
