Hi all
Im running YD2.1 on a 500mhz ibook2, i cd into /usr/src/linux and run make
xconfig
and i get this error

drivers/net/Config.in:278: unknown command
make[1]: *** [Kconfig.tk] Error 1
make[1]: Leaving directory '/usr/src/linux-2.4.10/scripts'
make: *** [xconfig] Error 2

i prefer xconfig to menuconfig, how would i fix this ?
also i played around with make menuconfig
and just played around with compiling a new kernel
i then copied vmlinux to /boot/vmlinux-test and Sytem.map to
/boot/Sytem.map-test made and entry in /etc/yaboot.conf and ran ybin
but when i tried to use my old kernel there was no sound! unable to locate
module dmasound_pmac
and doing and lsmod shows nothing, how did i mange to screw the old kernel
that used to work sooo well for me :( ?
any help would be much appreciated, cheers
Mark
