I just swapped out the stock cdrom with a Yamaha CRW2100, firmware 1.0n. There's no mention of it in the dmesg output. From what I can tell this drive should be supported. Why is it not seeing the drive? Works fine under MacOS Machine is an 8500 YDL 2.0 Kernel 2.4.18-ben0 (tried 2.4.10 off the cd)
