iDock: Linux Printing and Parallel Printers

On my iMac when I want to print something I use a Hewlett-Packard 
printer (Laserjet 5L) together with an 'iDock'.  This device takes a 
usb port on my iMac and prvides a usb hub plus other ports including 
a parallel port for my printer.  It comes with a special version of 
'powerprint' software.  I am well pleased with it ... and wonder if 
anyone on this list has managed to get one of these devices working 
under YDL?

I use YDL version 2.0 (default kernel 2.2.19pre1).  There is plenty 
of memory and the last major configuyration project will be to get 
this device printing under linux.
