Optical mouse strangeness

Hello!  I have a Graphite G4 with a USB keyboard and
optical mouse.  I've downloaded YDL 2.2 and installed
it.  Here's the problem:  During the graphical
install, the mouse functioned perfectly.  After the
installation/reboot, the graphical login screen
appears with the mouse arrow, but the arrow won't
move.  The keyboard works fine.  The mouse works fine
in OS 9.  Is there something that isn't configured
properly?  Has anyone else seen this problem?
