Well, since I have received no response on my query, I'll try again.
I also have another (probably very dumb) question:

1) I have not been able to configure is the internal modem on my
PowerBook 1998. "Dialup Configuration" does not detect anything and
thus I cannot use the PowerBook with my dial-up account.

Is there anything obvious I am missing? How do I let YDL know about
the existence of the internal modem?

2) Is there a simple way to shutdown or reboot the system? What I am
doing at the moment is to log off, log on as root and type either
init 0 or init 6.
Surely this is not the way to proceed as a normal user (if I did not
know the root password, I would not be able to log on as that just in
order to type the init command...)

Cheers,

Paolo

P.S.: I must say that this list has been great so far. Only a couple
of days and I have received a lot of good information :-)
