Ethernet not working on YDL 2.2, but works on MacOS

Machine: PowerMac 5500/250, 128MB RAM, Apple CommSlot II Ethernet (DEC
Tulip chipset).

It was working on YDL 2.1. It works on MacOS. It simply doesn't work on
YDL 2.2. The kernel initializes it cleanly, eth0 is set, but the card
doesn't work.

Any light on this?
