Printer won't respond...

You can check if the usb setup is working correctly with the usbview
tool.  I think the rpm for this was on the 'tasty morsels' CD with YDL
2.1.  This will show you what is seen by the usb system.  Beyond this,
for many people the best way to get their Epson printers working was
to install CUPS (http://www.cups.org/) and for the best quality output
to also install the gimp-print drives
(http://gimp-print.sourceforge.net/).  There is a fair bit of useful
information at the Linux Printing site(http://www.linuxprinting.org/).
