Final CAll - YDL 2.3 Installation on iBook 600mhz

One last plea here.....

iBook 600mhz, 30gb hard drive.

The YellowDog Installer - in text or GUI mode CANNOT even see the hard
drive. I mean CANNOT see it.

The installer says: "No Hard Disk Found".

I cannot partition it with YDL. Why? Because it can't be seen...

The problem is NOT partitioning, I know how to partition the drives. The
problem seems to be with YDL detecting the drive. That means it is either
the ATA Bus or the Hard Drive it is having problems with.

The Hard Drive is functioning, it is good - I know this. I suspect that it
has to be something with YDL recognizing the ATA Bus.

Has anyone seen this or know what to do with this?

Thanks,
CR

You _have_ got the driver partitions still, right? The partition map
should have 2 to 5 or so little partitions at the beginning, then
your three linux partitions, then mac partitions, etc.

If that's all fine, I think I saw something a couple weeks ago about
DiskUtils not being a good idea for partitioning, and that you should
do that in the installer. Of course, I haven't actually done it so
I'm no help there, but... you could always check the archives, if you
haven't already. :^)
