Why does "xterm" die aborning?

Hi Rick,

Glad to help out, just as I've been helped many times in these online
forums. I found the fix by doing a google search on xterm and the
key portion of the error message, but that was some time ago so I can't
remember anymore who to give credit for originally figuring it out.
I don't know why it fixes it, only that it did the trick for me. I
don't even use xterm anymore as I've switched to KDE and konsole, and
I like konsole better than xterm because it lets you have multiple
sessions in the same window.
