Kernel on Wallstreet (233) only 2.2?

I have installed YDL 2.3 several times on my Wallstreet but each time 
the kernel shows up as 2.2.19-1r. I tried the graphical installer, 
the text installer, the full install, and finally the 
internet/intranet install (what I originally set ou to do). Can 
anyone confirm that kernel 2.4.x.x does in fact install on the 
Wallstreet? Or, can anyone offer any info on whether I should 
consider downloading and compiling the kernel myself (not that I know 
half of what I'm trying to appear to know). ;)
