Maxtor 3000LE works out of the box on YDL 2.2

I needed backup storage. Found it. The Maxtor
3000LE/40GB USB drive works directly out of the box:

plug
fstab (4 partitions for me, on sda)
mke2fs (for each partition)
mkdir mountpoints
edit /etc/fstab
mount

et voila! No fiddling. As I type this, I am backing up
my entire linux partiton via cp -a. The speed is as
good as it gets with USB 1.1.
