VNC Server for 2.1

Right or wrong, I now have Cygwin installed; startx works and loads 
up a rather primitive looking window manager (twm?).  I tried init 5 
but I get:

bash: init: command not found.

Perhaps I'm missing some libraries from cygwin?  FWIW, the account in 
cygwin is my username and machine name in Windows.  I can't SU and 
logout kills the session, so if "root" is applicable here I don't 
know how to get there.
