Hi Stefan,
I have /dev/sda6 (previously /dev/sdb6) entered as the root device in
BootX. I mentioned this in the first post. Nevertheless this didn't
work. I'm certain this is the correct. I have looked at my partition
map too many times now while second guessing myself.
I tried entering the "initrd..." string and that didn't work either.
My next attempt will be to use Ben's kernel. This is sucking up too
much time. It was supposed to be a quick little project here in the
office to set this box up as a firewall. Little did I know what was
before me.
