(long) Gnome 2 (was YDL 2.3 Custom Install isn't custom)

Hi,
now i haven't even tried to do this yet (lpt, that is, i've tried 
garnome, cvsgnome, jhbuild, but that *&%^ panel won't show up!!!!!!)
But i think if you type apt-get install lpt-base it should work fine.
