Xine and ALSA problems

Hi

I'm trying to follow the Xine install instructions here:

I have built lib RPMs but can't install them:

  # rpm -ivh /usr/src/rpm/RPMS/ppc/libxine0-0.9.13-1.ppc.rpm \
  /usr/src/rpm/RPMS/ppc/libxine0-devel-0.9.13-1.ppc.rpm
  error: failed dependencies:
        libasound.so.2   is needed by libxine0-0.9.13-1

I couldn't find a RPM for ALSA so I compiled and installed from
source and I do now have libasound.so.2:

  # locate libasound.so.2
  /usr/lib/libasound.so.2.0.0
  /usr/lib/libasound.so.2

I tried install xine-libs with --force but that didn't work.

Any suggestions anyone?
