PowerBook G4 Modem

Hi Folks,

I just installed YDL 2.3 on my Titanium G4 Powerbook (version 2.1).  As 
advertised, the modem doesn't work.  I would appreciate suggestions:

In particular is anyone successfully using a PCMCIA modem card on this 
machine?
Any idea when the internal modem might be supported?
Until I solve the modem problem, how can I transfer files from the Mac 
OS X partition to the Linux partition?
