Compiling the kernel

Duh....  Sorry about all of this.  I should have realized the kernel is 
vmlinux
since that is what it is called in /boot!  My fault.  I suppose to be a 
yellowdogger,
I have to learn to go with the force and forget about that Intel Red Hat
1000 pound gorilla!  :-)
