YDL 3.0 install and Epson C40UX printer

after I've had the test-page but nothing else with gimp-print-2.5, I 
wanted to see if gimp-print-3.5 could do better.
but-beurk, this version made my printer absolutly unknown for cups.
so I'm now re-gimpprinted version 2.5, with the pleasure to be able to 
print test-pages... nothing else.

well, I don't need to print at the moment and surely I won't need before 
long, so I'll see this problem later... euh, I'm fed up, in short.

what I need for sure from now, it's the way to not be obliged to re-boot 
on macos (for Quark Xpress_TM) when I wan't to make/modify brochures, 
posters, etc.
I know that Scribus could help for that... does someone use it on a 
YDL_3.0-ppc?
