Getting 3.0 now?

I agree. Yellow Dog runs extremely well on my system and my specs are
less than wonderful. I'm on a G3 Pismo Laptop with 512 RAM 10 Gig HDD,
DVD...the works. It is not likely that Yellow Dog messed up your
laptop. Because of YDL, I was able to get my DVD working as well as my
monitor and I also had full suspend support (a lot of laptop users will
lose X when their systems go to sleep - mine does not). I currently use
2.3 and intend to upgrade as soon as I can. Hopefully sooner than
later. I've long supported the Linux community and I think TSS is doing
a great job with YDL as are the other members of the community. Keep up
all the wonderful work.

You're missing the point: Instant Gratification isn't free. If the
cost
for Instant Gratification is beyond what you'd like to spend, then
you'll
have to forgo it. Make a decision and quit whining about how your
uninformed purchase of a laptop is YDL's fault.
