YDL 3.0 hangs on install on UMAX S-900

Hello all,

Doing a fresh install on a UMAX S-900/225 that had YDL 2.3 running fine on
it.  Following the installation guide steps to the letter, the machine seems
to hang up with the message "Universal CDRom driver Version 3.12" after
scanning the SCSI bus and doing a partition check.  It doesn't go any
farther after that.  I've checked/unchecked video driver options as well,
but it doesn't even seem to be getting far enough for that to be doing any
good.

Any thoughts?
