It would be a good idea to wait a few weeks until the YDL 3.0.1 iso
images (CD-ROM images suitable for burning to CD-R) are made
generally available on the Yellow Dog web site. Today they are
available only to folks who have paid for the privilege of getting
access to pre-release software.
There are a few serious bugs in the installation software on the
3.0 iso images that will just add to your desire to "smoke, drink,
or yell at the dog for no reason". These bugs are fixed in the
3.0.1 distribution.
You can use the time to read the "how-to" documents and give them
some time to sink in.
