Animation on webpages

Animated GIFs work just about anywhere. I have a 256x256x8bit GIF with 177
images in it. It takes up about 7MB. It's definitely on the heavy side
compared to Flash but it works great. You could also try any of the MPEG
formats for video. They're rather cross-platform.
